About Me

Selin Yalçın is a contemporary artist and a graduate of Nevit Kodallı Fine Arts High School and Nevşehir University’s Painting Department. Her passion for art began during her high school years, and during her university education, she developed a unique artistic language by exploring the realms of the subconscious and neo-psychedelic imagery. After graduation, she established her own studio, where she actively continues her artistic production. Throughout her journey, she worked as an assistant to renowned painters such as Gencay Kasapçı and Karl Talip Kara, drawing inspiration from surrealism and similar contemporary movements. Additionally, Selin is an Art Ambassador for the İyilik İçin Sanat Derneği (Art for Goodness Association) and has received internationally certified Art Therapy training from SEM Academy.

Her works are a vibrant reflection of her inner world, driven by a boundless imagination and creative energy. The bold use of vivid colors, dynamic forms, and layered narratives distinguish her art, offering viewers a unique visual and emotional experience. Each line and color serves as a bridge between the internal and external worlds, inviting the audience to become an integral part of her creations rather than mere observers. This narrative style reflects her fascination with exploring the relationship between consciousness and the subconscious.

Selin’s art is a journey of discovery, highlighting the limitless potential of imagination and the depths of the human soul. Influences of surrealism and psychedelic elements are vividly present in her work, with each piece transporting viewers to new realms of thought while offering a profound aesthetic experience. This distinctive approach has positioned her as a notable figure in the contemporary art scene, garnering admiration from both art enthusiasts and professionals alike.
